Mmmm...pureed peas with oatmeal and breast milk...

Following in the footsteps of the millions of babies before him, Holden has enthusiastically embraced the thrill of not eating his pureed vegetables
(and can I blame him? I mean really, pureed green beans? Ack.)
However, he will eat just about anything if it is mixed with cereal and breast milk---but only if he can simultaneously wear it.

"Honestly. The things I have to tolerate in this house..."

"Hee hee...pea booger...hee hee hee"

Oh, even with food on his face, he's still cute.

I think it's funny how first-time parents get tricked into buying those little jars of baby food when virtually no kid in history has actually ever swallowed any of those weird liquid vegetables.

But it makes for a great photo-op.

Mother's note: Not only will he not eat the pureed crap--he won't eat real food, either. Holden is very specific in his culinary desires: pureed crap + cereal + breast milk. And nothing else will do.

Tasty.

At this age, a child can do fine on just breastmilk. So I don't blame him for not wanting to move onto other foods .... especially weird pureed vegetables. He's just being smart. He'll go for the real food when he's ready.
